Our vision
At Park Hill Junior School, we recognise the importance of high quality science teaching and learning. Our science lessons encourage children to be curious thinkers and to develop a deeper understanding of the world around them.
Our pupils are given the opportunity to learn about many aspects of science, in line with the National Curriculum, including: forces, animals, including humans and electricity. In addition, our pupils are able to develop their scientific enquiry skills and learn how these can be used to answer questions in science. We encourage pupils to have an enquiring mind and apply their learning to wider contexts, to develop their working scientifically skills. Therefore, we ensure that all children are given the opportunity to plan and carry out their own scientific investigations.
Science lessons at Park Hill are a safe place for children to be inquisitive and challenge their understanding of the world we live in.
